Ditch Witch’s history goes back to 1902, when a German immigrant named Carl Frederick Malzahn moved from Minnesota to Perry, Oklahoma to get away from the blistering cold of winter. He then went onto open the Malzahn Blacksmith Shop with his two sons, one of whom was named Charlie and would carry the company forward into the future as Charles Machine Works and eventually Ditch Witch, which is focused on selling machinery for use in construction, utilities, fibre installation, and many other industries that require drilling, excavating, and trenching.
Ditch Witch sells directional drills and all terrain drills, which can be used in conjunction with the company’s Subsite Electronics HDD Guidance systems to give the drill operator as much information as possible while digging. You’ll also find trenchless machinery, like fluid management systems, rod pushers, piercing tools, and pipe bursters.
Ditch Witch also sells hydro excavators and air excavators with multiple accessories available; walk behind, ride-on, quad, micro, and vibratory trenchers and plows; and mini skid steers in different configurations to handle digging, trenching, and more.
