    About Wabash National

Lafayette, Indiana,-based Wabash National began building trailers in 1985 and quickly established its name and reputation for industry innovation. Among those innovations is the company’s DuraPlate composite panel technology, which provides trailer sidewalls with greater durability and performance—that same material is also part of Wabash trailer doors, noses, and aerodynamic products. Wabash says it is also the only manufacturer to offer trailers with bimodal technology. The RoadRailer line, first built in 1987, lets trailers easily move from railway to roadway.

In addition to its RoadRailer trailers for sale, Wabash manufactures dry freight vans, refrigerated vans, platform/flatbed trailers, and truck bodies. Its Transcraft and Benson flatbed trailers come in steel, combo, or aluminum models, with a drop-deck trailer available. The Wabash DuraPlate HD dry freight van can handle heavy-duty hauls and what Wabash refers to as “abusive freight applications.” Wabash also makes trailer converter dollies and trailer aerodynamics products such as trailer skirts, fins, and drag reduction systems. Specialised products include tank trailers, aviation refueling equipment, and portable storage containers.
