Steyr Upgrades Impuls CVT, Profi CVT & Profi S-Control 8 Tractors To Larger S-Tech 700 Plus Terminal

The 12-inch S-Tech 700 Plus terminal included with Steyr Impuls CVT, Profi CVT, and Profi S-Control 8 tractors for 2023 dramatically increases storage capacity from 256MB to 16GB, resulting in improved performance. (Photo courtesy of CNH Industrial.)

Steyr parent company CNH Industrial has announced that Steyr Impuls CVT, Profi CVT, and Profi S-Control 8 tractors will include a 35% larger 12-inch S-Tech 700 Plus in-cab terminal for 2023. The easier-to-use, higher-resolution touchscreen unit replaces the 10.4-in. S-Tech 700. Customers can have the terminal positioned at the armrest or have it mounted on the right-side monitor rail. Steyr says Internal upgrades bump storage capacity from 256MB to 16GB, resulting in much faster performance, especially in ISOBUS and multitasking operations. Also expect durable aluminum construction, an anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint screen, and the ability to view feeds from up to four cameras.

    A New GPS Receiver, Too

Steyr is also replacing the Steyr 372 GPS signal receiver with the new 392 receiver. It uses Galileo, BeiDou, and Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) satellite constellations in addition to GPS and Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS). Steyr says quick initialization, fast targeted accuracy, and a low likelihood of signal loss are on tap.

“Available in base-, medium-, and high-accuracy levels of 15.0, 4.0, or, when using the RTK+ network, 1.5-centimetre repeatable pass-to-pass, year-on-year accuracy, customers can be confident that with Steyr 392, they can benefit from full auto-steering even in difficult conditions, and be assured of minimal likelihood of signal loss in difficult fields,” says Darragh Mullin, Impuls product marketing manager.

    The Impuls & Profi Lineups

The three-model Impuls CVT lineup includes an S-Control CVT power shuttle transmission and provides maximum power options from 190 to 225 horsepower (140 to 166 kilowatts) with the Power Plus power management system. The five-model Profi CVT lineup also uses an S-Control CVT and provides maximum power options from 145 to 175 HP (107 to 129 kW) with Power Plus. The four-model Profi lineup uses an S-Control 8 powershift transmission and has maximum power options from 155 HP (114 kW) to 175 HP with Power Plus.
