Load King launched its Voyager lineup of truck bodies back in October 2018, three years after becoming a part of the Custom Truck One Source family. The range consists of the Voyager I mechanic service body for the 2019 Ford F550 4x4, the Voyager II mechanics body for the 2019 Peterbilt 337 4x2, and Voyager P propane service body for the 2019 Dodge Ram 5500.

“Since joining Custom Truck in 2015, we have deliberately expanded Load King’s product offerings outside of trailers, to further position the company as the only single-source equipment provider in the industry,” said Ben Link, executive vice president of production and supply chain for Load King. “By leveraging Custom Truck’s leadership in the vocational realm and its proximity to operators, and merging Load King’s manufacturing expertise and innovative design, we are able to efficiently penetrate and influence the equipment markets, with superior offerings.”

    Voyager I & Voyager II

The Load King Voyager I and Voyager II share many of the same features, including aluminum CTECH drawer sets, reel-mounted air hoses located in a hinged control panel, Load King LK40 air compressors, LED work lights on the body and boom, and spray-in lining on the bed, rear bumper, wheel chocks, splash guard, and underbody. The Voyager I has an 11-foot (3.4-meter) heavy-duty galvannealed steel crane body, a reinforced rear crane with a 7,000-pound (3,175-kilogram) lift capacity, and a sealed crane compartment. The Voyager II has a 14-foot (4.3-meter) steel crane body, a crane with a maximum lift capacity of 10,000 pounds (4,536 kilograms) and horizontal reach of 25 feet (7.6 meters), and front body-mounted hydraulic tank.

    Voyager P

Load King says its Voyager P propane service body is “built specifically for propane marketers.” It features a lightweight, all-aluminum truck bed and under frame and removable aluminum side rails. It also has an Auto Crane EHC-6 that has a maximum lift capacity of 6,000 pounds (2,721.6 kilograms) and a reach of 20.4 feet (6.2 meters). Other highlights include LED lighting in every toolbox for better visibility at night, a removable pipe vice attachment, and a drawer workspace.
